• Learning From My Gambling Blunders

1st to clarify the reason I wrote this article. I have been wagering on the web or at land based casinos for a great many years. I have discovered, the dependency can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it until you are broke. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very short amount of time and still on occasion, I will go too far. It seems you are just having fun until you decide to be aware of your loss and the guilt settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you feel sick in your stomach and the harder you try the quicker you are deprived.

When you see that you’re ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, don’t say to yourself, "well just maybe one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan RARELY ever works. Say you’re playing on slot games, have an amount set aside prior to starting your play. Don’t go over that limit, regardless how alluring. If you actually succeed, put that in a different pot. Do not risk your profits no matter what. Once you have gambled through your original set limit, stop. Leave, regardless if it is online or at a land based casino, do not stick around. Always remember, there will be another day, another time.

Always remember, gambling should be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you are not having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not afford the loss, don’t even start.
